Going confidently in the direction of my purpose.
Hi, I'm Candace and I'm super passionate about entrepreneurship, women's empowerment, and personal development. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2011 with a B.S. in Computer Science. I started my first company Techturized Inc., a high tech hair care company based in Atlanta, GA, when I was 24 years old. I'm a firm believer that it's never too early to step out on faith in the direction of your highest calling in life. I made that decision in 2012 and it has open doors for me that I would have never imagined! We launched our consumer brand, Myavana, a personalized hair care service that recommends products and services based on scientific analysis of consumer’s hair type and texture. I've been named on the 2016 Forbes 30 Under 30 list, WWD’s Top 50 Beauty Innovators Under 40, BET’s Next In Class STEM Award Winner, and a Sephora Accelerate beauty entrepreneur fellow. My company has been featured nationally on CNN, Headline News, BuzzFeed, ‘The Real’ daytime talk show, Marie Claire Magazine, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris Perry show, ESSENCE magazine, Ebony Magazine, Black Enterprise, Business Insider, and many more. I currently serves as Entrepreneur-In-Residence and Program Manager for Ascend2020 Atlanta, a technology startup and small business support ecosystem for minority-led companies throughout Metropolitan Atlanta.
